The route, step by step

1. 01

   District and property

   no cost·~4 wk

   For residence by purchase the property must be worth $200,000+ in major cities. Some districts are closed to new foreign residents, so we check the address before any deposit.

2. 02

   Deal and title deed

   $9,500·~3 wk

   Valuation report, tax number, title registration fee (usually 4% of the price, split by agreement), DASK earthquake insurance.

3. 03

   e-ikamet application

   $600·~2 wk

   Online form, health insurance valid in Turkey, appointment at the migration office.

4. 04

   Residence card

   no cost·~6 wk

   The card arrives by post. A property-based permit renews while you own the property.

   Move and address

   $2,500·~3 wk

   Address registration, bank account, utilities. Citizenship is a separate route, from $400,000 invested.
