Turkey has become one of the most sought-after destinations among Russian-speaking emigrants — especially after 2022. It is a country with developed infrastructure, a warm climate, affordable real estate, and a unique citizenship by investment program.

Turkish Citizenship by Investment (CBI) is processed within 3–6 months when purchasing real estate worth at least $400,000. The property must be registered with an annotation prohibiting sale for 3 years. The Turkish passport grants visa-free entry to 110+ countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, most of Latin America, and Africa.

Short-term tourist residency is processed in 2–4 weeks with any rental contract. After 8 years on a tourist residence permit, Turkish citizenship can be applied for. Opening an LLC in Turkey (minimum capital 10,000 Turkish lira) entitles the founder to a residence permit.

Istanbul, Antalya, and Alanya have formed the largest Russian-speaking communities in the Mediterranean. It is easy to open a bank account here, register as a sole trader, and find Russian-speaking professionals — from lawyers to doctors.
